Turning recovery diagnostics into programmes in Tajikistan
COVID-19 recovery support for UNDP Tajikistan translated socio-economic analysis into programme proposals on sustainable value chains, an inclusive digital economy and innovative finance. It connected intervention choices with implementation arrangements, budgets and results frameworks, supporting resource-mobilisation and partnership discussions.
Context and purpose
UNDP Tajikistan sought to turn COVID-19 recovery diagnostics into practical programme proposals. The assignment focused on sustainable value chains, an inclusive digital economy and innovative finance, connecting intervention choices with delivery arrangements.
The work
Position papers and project documents developed the three intervention areas. Work addressed private-sector engagement, domestic and external investment and partnerships with financing institutions, NGOs and other organisations. Budgets, implementation arrangements and results indicators were developed in line with UN reporting and SDG priorities.
Outputs and use
Programme proposals and project-document components provided a basis for partnership and resource-mobilisation discussions. Their budgets and results frameworks translated recovery priorities into proposed interventions that could be assessed and developed further.
