Results, learning and final reporting for SDG financing in Kazakhstan
Final reporting for Kazakhstan’s Joint SDG Fund programme brought together implementation evidence, financing-system analysis and stakeholder consultation. It assessed progress against indicators and targets and connected lessons on budgeting, national financing frameworks and private finance with recommendations for future SDG-financing programmes.
Context and purpose
Kazakhstan’s Joint SDG Fund programme required a final account of implementation and results. The assignment examined progress against indicators and targets while drawing lessons for future work on budgeting, national financing frameworks and private finance.
The work
Review covered workplans, progress reports, results frameworks, financial tracking and communications. Consultations with UN agencies, government and partners helped verify results. Analysis considered the INFF, budget tagging, ESG adoption and joint programming in relation to broader financing-system change.
Outputs and use
The final narrative report and donor briefings consolidated implementation evidence, lessons and recommendations. They supported accountability and future programme design, distinguishing reported programme results from the contribution of the reporting assignment.
